Jasper,

You're right, and the response you get frome those people when you question anything is "so what, doesn't matter, we know he is guilty".

Now, there is another (out of many many) peculiar incident in Fuhrman's book. In chapter 17 he describes how for months he waited patiently to hear from the police or the prosecution whose fingerprint was on the bundy rear gate. And so finally in January he again is discussing the case with Clark and in deep embarrasment she admits to him that the print was never photographed or lifted. "Shocked would be a mild way of describing my feelings. I ranted and raved for a few minutes. When I calmed down, Marcia consoled me....."

Notice how fake this whole episode is? For seven months he waited patiently for somebody to tell him what "this crucial piece of evidense" was!!! It is so totally out of character for Fuhrman to not find out for himself. He knew every other test result, some even before they were tested (the mixture of blood on the Rockingham glove for one).

And after seven months of not caring he goes into this rage. Notice the words he uses: Shocked, feelings, ranted, raved, consoled, disgusted, frustration. Way too much emotion after way too little emotion.

So he either lied about patiently waiting to hear about the print, or he lied about his emotions when he heard. Maybe both.
