Jean,

Dingle is not the gay Congressman. He did support the issue of gays in the military. He also supports Affirmative action, and every other liberal cause you can think His claim to fame is that he has the most "Liberal" voting record in Congress. I don?t know whether that?s true, but that?s the conservative rap against him. Because most Americans identify themselves as conservative, that?s a pretty bad rap.

The Celeni story has the smell of red herring about it to me, too. I have a feeling that some of what he says is true but it is deliberately buried in so much BS that serious researchers will eventually toss out the whole thing. Reading the transcript Jolana posted I now know where so many stories of a tape come from. I think the details are products of the need to show how the photos could have been taken.

The answer is, they couldn?t have been. It?s a matter of geometry and line of sight. It is also a matter of physical evidence, the space taken up by bodies in motion, the amount of space they have to do it and what a video camera can discern through a four foot slot - if it is ideally positioned. And, yes, it?s a matter of probability, too. From the standpoint of a soldier (Lange and Fuhrman were both marines) you see something else about Celeni?s tape that can?t be right. The kill zone is too well suited for one attacker using the stun technique in an ambush to take out two people in tandem from behind to be coincidentally related to the blunt force injuries to Ron and Nicole?s head. In fact, the terrain is ideal for that kind of "silent" kill. A barking dog outside a closed gate makes it perfect.

Celeni has Nathan Arnold coming down the stairs behind Nicole after a tussle inside the house. That fits the blow to her head. However, he was a full 12 inches taller than she was on level ground. Holding her from behind creates a special problem with her descending the steep stairs. And where was his bowie knife? You don?t walk around with a monster like that in your hip pocket.

Jolana seems to know more than most people do about the way all of us put together whole visions from partial ones. She has seen how many of the broad strokes of Celeni?s story match mine and Chris Sringer?s. The story connects Fuhrman to Faye Resnick. If you add a little here and subtract a little there you can see how it might be true. But when you know about all the places it can?t be you have to take the whole thing with a mega-grain of salt. Maybe that was the idea. --Jasper
