Charlie,

NPR's All Things Considered and Morning Edition are where ALL of the biggest names in broadcasting go to get their news. It is the best there is anywhere. It has the most intelligent field reporters and anchors. It is the most influential source of news on the planet. If it doesn't get covered on NPR it doesn't count.

I have a link to NPR on the Home page. Tune in sometime. You will be impressed. When you see how good they are, you will also be infuriated at the things they insist on getting wrong. According to NPR Hanoi Jane is a saint who helped to end the Vietnam War. They were saying that when the victorious North Vietnamese Army was committing genocide against the Hmong in Laos and other ethnic minorities in Vietnam. They have never called Hanoi's Death camps by name or said one word about murdered American prisoners of war listed as Missing in Action like my friend Dennis Hammond.

According to NPR O.J. is guilty of murder and anyone who says other wise is a fool.

Other than that, they're great. You have to keep your eye on the big picture. A little genocde here and there is good for the news business and great for building careers.

There are some people there who do have integrity. I think that Linda Wertheimer is one of them. I know that Tom Gjelten is one and Cokie Roberts is another. I used to think that Rene Montaign was one, too, until the not guilty verdict in the O.J. case seemed to put her career on NPR's back burner for a few years. I'm sure there are others. If you can get to any one of them you can make a huge difference. --Jasper
