A friend of mine, Sherman Skolnick, knew Tony Pellicano before he moved to LA. In Chicago, Pellicano was mob connected. He is the godfather to a child of a prominent mob figure in Chicago. His claim to fame was "bugs and surveillance". Sherm would never allow him into his house for fear of Pellicano "bugging' the place although TP kept trying to get in to so-call "debug' the place. He and another PI, were known in that area to use that as a "ruse" to get inside a house and while claiming to "debug" it actually PUT bugs in. Sherman is an investigative journalist. The other guy lost his license at one time because of this. His name escapes me at the moment but he showed up later as the PI for the kid who accused Michael Jackson of molesting while his FRIEND Pellicano was Jackson's PI.
He testified in the Senate Assassinations hearing to say that the tape recording of multiple shots recorded on motorcycle radio, were echoes not extra shots.
He has been good friends of Mickey Kantor (a entertainment lawyer at the time) and Michael Viner and Bill Clinton for about 30 years. (Bill Clinton started his trips to LA back in the 70"s)
In 1992, he shows up to say that the audio tapes of Gennifer Flowers were tampered with and faked. Later, of course, we learned that they were not faked tapes.
He is named as is Jack Pallidino in depos in the Paula Jones Case as one of the PI's who "harassed" and "threatened" women prior to the 92 presidental race.
Then later he was involved with the Michael Jackson case in what "may" have been an extortion scheme since the boy's PI was a long time "partner" of Pellicano's.
Later he worked for Columbia Pictures and Howard Weitzman agaisnt the Heidi Fleiss allegations of studio participation in the Fleiss organization.
Then, miraculously, he shows up as the "free" PI of Mark Fuhrman's who was allowed to go on national tv and threaten anybody who would come forward against Fuhrman and that they "would be sorry that they were born."
He is one of the PI's listed in the 96 presidental race paid by the unions and DNC along again with Jack Pallidino and Terry Lezner and others.
Then during the MOnica Scandal is is caught doing surveillance on Victoria Toensing and her judge husband, and others who were working on the Impeachment. He was named by name as the one who was doing the work--along with Pallidino and Lenzner's group again.
In the Wasz stories by Bresnahan, Wasz mentions that through the years he has worked with Pellicano in "shadey" criminal/intell operations.
Pellicano was also sued in the Don Simpson deaths (death of doctor at Simpson's house) for being called BEFORE the cops were and was charged with tampering with evidence prior to the arrival of the cops. Brad Roberts was the detective in that case. (fall of 95) and Simpson died in a similiar manner at home in Jan. of 96. Pellicano's friend the other PI was involved as well in the Simpson deaths.
