In the current election, Garcetti has been accused of being "in debt" to major businesses and firms. Jean reported that the law firm that has GTE as a client is one of these firms who "owe" Garcetti and vise versa??
This is odd for the District Attorneys race. It comes up in elections of presidents, governors, legislatures, etc.. but not usually with District Attorneys.
When it came up that Guess? Jeans was financing Fred Goldman and had connections with Garcetti, I did a search in the LA Times Archieves.
I found that Guess? Jeans is owned by 2 Italian brothers who have been in trouble repeatedly for labor problems and illegal alien problems and more.
AFTER the civil trial, I learned that one of these indictments came up again with Guess?. In that case, ALL the Garcetti DA's (there are hundreds of them) tried to recuse themselves for prosecuting Guess? due to the close relationship with Garcetti. This was actually their stated reason in court. The judge turned them down. They wanted it tried in another county.
However, just how much of an effort did these DA's "go after" a conviction of Guess? when they felt disinclined to prosecute in the first place due to "Garcetti's connection".
In the depo, Fred Goldman refused (with strong support from his lawyers) to give info on just who was financially paying for the Ron Fund.
Somehow Garcetti's big donor ended up paying for the civil trial (or Goldman's part of it). Suspicious. Damn Straight.
I also recently learned that one of Garcetti's "pet projects" as shown on his website is Spouse and Domestic Abuse. It seems this has been a Long Time pet project of his that he is extremely proud of. It predates the OJS case. Is it possible that this was well known by MF and he used what he Knew that Garcetti would go after with his tongue hanging out---an opportunity to have a BIG spouse abuse case? Is it why, they never suggested any other motive in light of weak evidence and evidence that there were other possible motives much stronger than spouse abuse. Is it why they stayed away from Ron and Nicole going to therapy prior to the murders and that Ron attended this therapy Before Nicole ever went?
Is it why it was Ron's records stolen from the therapist office? Why it was Ron's files stolen from Shapiro's office?
