Jasper mentioned on Smoking Gun that there might be a possibility that Fuhrman --if he were watching or having surveillance on OJ---would be well aware of OJ playing golf with Bill Clinton three weeks prior to the murders. I'm sure he did.
Whether or not Fuhrman would Use this to "get ahead" politically--for PR--or for later contacts, is up for grabs but the FULL story of the politics around the case need to be known. The WHOLE story so to speak.
Also, I learned from Mark Lane, author of Plausible Denial< years ago that to track down a "conspiracy" you have to check into where the people involved end up after the incident is over. You need to know who is punished, who is rewarded, who makes a financial killing, and who loses financially, who is promoted and who is demoted. He says it lays out a pretty good road map for what happened.
I recently learned that Gil Garcetti is a Democrat. I could never figure it out before, I think because the race for DA is supposed to be non-partisan, it wasn't mentioned much. Since he called the opponent he has now a "right-wing extremist" and other recent revalations, I have learned that he is a Democrat. I had no idea before at all. Info I have gathered prior to that, you must remember was gathered without having any idea what his party affliation is.
In this election, charges of Big donors and doing favors, or the exchange of favors plays a big part in how he does business. Jean has reported his close relationship with the law firm who is the law firm for the phone company which recently won in court against OJ. Garcetti has done some work through the DA's office which went out of their way to do a "favor" for them.
Guess? Jeans is another one of these "clients". I won't go into it here (needs it OWN thread) who just happens to be the very people who financed Fred Goldman's lawsuit against OJ.
In every interview since OJ got out of jail, he has shown much more ANGER and VICIOUSNESS towards Gil Garcetti than he has ever shown against Clark,Darden and Hodgeman. He has made statements like, when Garcetti is out of office, he will come forward with info that he has learned through his investigations and the investigations by others. To me, that shows a level of "distrust" of Garcetti that needs to be studied. It is like Garcetti has this "personal" reason (or professional reason) that the info that OJ would impart to him would fall on deaf ears.
Some background. In books I read (like American Tragedy) I learned that OJ had photos all over his house and office of himself and Republican presidents. To be fair, most of OJ's adult life, there have been more Republican presidents than Democrats but nonetheless, he had these up on his walls for all to see. (Ford, Nixon, etc.)
He publicly stated that he did NOT vote for Clinton and did not support him. Yet,he had a golf date with him just 3 weeks before the murders. We now know that Clinton used golf dates to ask for campaign donations and it may be no more than that.
What you may or may not know is that in OJ's depo he mentions a wedding of a friend in Florida the spring before the murders. This friend whose wedding he attended was that of Rush Limbaugh. I learned of this not from the depo but from Rush himself when right after the trial, he mentioned that OJ was at his wedding (April or May that year). I wish I could recall whether he said that Nicole attended to but cannot. I think he said she did but don't take that for gospel. I know that in OJ"s depo he mentioned he wanted Nicole to attend the wedding with him, but it is not clear whether she did or not.
Another odd thing I learned in the depo was that there was a phone call from OJ's business phone that night which OJ says he doesn't know who made it. The name was given. Nobody present in the depo knew Who the person was except OJ. He informed them that the man was Garcetti's opponent for DA that year. We now know that since it was after the primary, that person was a Republican. So, somebody made a call to the Republican opponent of Garcetti on the night of June 13th, 1994 from OJ's business phone. Who? And for what purpose?
I think that OJ shows More anger at Garcetti than Clark, Darden, Hodgeman and other Da's not to mention the same goes for the cops in the case. He Blames GARCETTI over all others for the trial/case/etc. Part of this anger may also be directed at Garcett due to the Guess? Jeans finanacially backing the Goldman's lawsuit. OJ "may" know of more of the connections than we do.
When the trial was over---who got the big bucks and the big jobs? The losers!!! That's who. The money that Vannatter, Lange, Clark, Darden and Fuhrman got for their books was much much more than the Winners (Cochran Shapiro and others). Geraldo Rivera got a very unusual $45 million dollar contract after the trials and within a month or two became the "mouthpiece" for the government in even bigger ways than before.
Also, NBC was going to get Marcia Clark doing "something/anything" if it killed them. Several projects fell through but they kept trying until they put her on the Rivera Show. They even tried a cable show where lie detector tests were given (even to Fuhrman) to people involved in high profile cases. It bombed as well.
Vannatter, Lange and Clark (but not Darden) were rewarded by the use of "Sealed" photos from the autopsy for their books. With NO legal problems from it.
This is getting long but in another posting, I will report the absolutely fascinating connections with people who are top DNC connected (through several administrations) and have this extremely interesting connections with the Kennedy Assassinations(plural). The sheer number of people who were in and around the investigations of assassinations and testified For the government usually is way beyond a coincidence.
I am trying to get Robert Miller to post on this. He has a lot more info than me. I learned some of the things from him.
