Prien, The same goes for the OK for the FBI Lab to retest items from the LA Lab. A definite no no for the FBI. And the permission for the FBI Lab agents to testify in the civil trial. Another definite no no.

That, Too,had to come from the top.

Also there are only certain kinds of cases that the regular FBI agents get involved in. In this case, a local murder we are told with no major interstate or federal crime, shouldn't have had agents conducting interviews of witnesses from the plane, etc.

The sheer number of phone calls (using cell phones, etc) that night throughout the night which were blacked out and were barred from the discovery by the defense is another example. If they were business calls made about the case, they should have been discoverable. They claimed that they were "personal" calls made by the cops. I don't believe that. Too many and not just the number but the whole line across (origination, destination, time, etc.were blacked out).

Also, I have never seen--ever--where the EMT who pronounced victims to be dead--be BARRED from both trials as this man was. He Could have testified to condition of bodies, body temp(were they still warm), about rigor mortis, and what evidence was lying where when he went into the scene...and more. He ALSO broke the law by NOT calling the coroner. To me, there is ONLY one reason for that. They were either afraid of what he would say or knew he would say something different than what had been testified to.

I have known cases where the EMT (fireman in this case) was not called but it is because they aren't needed. But never where their name can't be spoken or their report entered into evidence and they are barred from testifying.
