Jean, Yes, I think Aspen is important for several reasons.
Many people in this case had connections to Aspen and Aspen was where Keith was over another Mezzaluna restuarant.
Oddly enough, Phillip Taylor Kramer who disappeared after declaring oJ was innocent in a 911 call was previously from Colorado. Michael Nigg was originally from there.
Also, Singular was told to follow the money and that this murder had to do with money. Money from drugs or money laundering?
Aspen is the home of the rich and famous and playground to the rich and famous of industry, Hollywood, mobsters and politicians. Anything is possible.
That friend of Kato's named Cramer was also at Aspen. Where Kato went to stay on the 13th after he was released from the cops.
From what I have seen, heard, and read on Unsolved Mysteries and such, anytime that there is a murder around Aspen, the locals clam up and won't talk. It is a repeated pattern there. Law enforcement get nowhere fast there.
BTW, that reminds me. Fuhrman and others stated that those in the Brentwood neighborhood REFUSED to open the door and answer questions that night. To me that is really telling for what people in LA really think about the LAPD and their trustworthiness.
