Kari, I think you are correct about the Reebocks and I am wrong about the Nikes. I think it was Reebocks now that Bodziak matched up with.
I will say I have heard for years--starting with the shoe clerk selling the BM Loafers I looked at that were size 12 and 12.5 inches long--that there is a difference in "fit" between a BM shoe and the track shoes. That you have to get a different size track shoe (forget if it goes up or down) than you would wear in the BM and vice versa.
As late as this morning, I heard from another emailer who was giving me the length of his size 10 shoes as 12 inches long and who does not follow the case at all that I had to remember that the foreign shoes and BM's in particular are about a size off.
I recall many callers to E! who owned the shoes saying the same thing...that their BM's were not the same size as their other shoes. I can't recall if they run small or large--just that there was a difference.
The importance to me here is that MF calls them loafers when the shoes that Bodziak showed as the shoes that matched were NOT loafers.
