Jolana, I have always wondered about that opening to the conversation. Or was it Judy that said "I'm back" and Lou got his tongue twisted up retelling it.
If it were Nicole, there is an implication that she had BEEN somewhere that Judy was aware of. It was much later than when she got home the first time. ALLEGEDLY Judy and Nicole had spoken around 937 (which I doubt seriously) but that aside, it implies that Nicole had been somewhere since 9;37.
If it were Judy saying "I'm back", that implies that they were in fact nearly 9 leaving the restuarant as Clark first said and they were just getting home which makes a call from Judy from her home not possible.
I am one of the ones who Heard and saw Judy go into great detail on national tv about this second call that was about 10 minutes long and how they discussed the recital, etc.
I have forgotten which of the shows (20/20 or what) but Somewhere a tape of that show exists. And that is not the only place she told it either.
And if the conversation started with Nicole saying "I'm back" it would imply that Nicole called Judy and it would be on HER phone record, not theirs.
It sounds like the beginning of a conversation from someone who is calling to check in and telling somebody they are home now.
