I have never heard of anyone doing that. A stocking cap is one thing (I've seen that) but a knit cap is something else. You'll have to ask someone else.
I've owned a knit cap myself for over 15 years. I've only worn it twice. Both times it was below zero outside. That doesn't mean someone else couldn't have worn a knit cap outside when it was relatively warm for some other reason that I can't imagine. My knit cap is still in my house - somewhere - I think - unless an intimate friend of mine took it for a keepsake the last time she was in town.
Nicole was a skier. I believe that O.J. also skied before his knees got too bad. O.J. also appeared in two movies in the Naked Guns series where he wore a knit cap. One cap was dark blue. The other cap was black. My first take on the blue knit cap was that it was a keepsake from the first movie and, as Allita said, Justin wore it playing daddy the way my youngest son did with my caps when he was Justin's age.
O.J.'s knit caps from the Naked Gun movies have to be somewhere and worth something to whomever got them when the movies were done. Since no collector came forward with either cap after the murders, I figured the one on the murder scene was the one in the first movie. I'm not convinced that the one in Justin's room was identical to it. How can we be sure that it wasn't black? -Jasper
