Let me clear up something. I didn't say that Ron was killed in the garage and his body moved. I said that the killer waited in the garage (expecting Ron to show up there) and took the garage door opener to keep him from getting in.
That way Ron would have to come to the front ("channeling the enemy" to a perfect ambush site) where he went when Ron left to wait for him behind the large tree by the gate for the double kill. The killer could then take out Ron and Nicole within two seconds of each other with sharp blows to the back of the head.
This is the military stun technique I wrote so much about, where the butt of a knife makes a more effective weapon than the blade. It is used specifically for disabling two people walking in tandem like soldiers at the rear of a patrol column. The small bruise on the back of Ron's head behind his left ear is what you would expect to see if he was hit just hard enough to stun him and knock him out of the way so the attacker could get to Nicole. The crushing blow to the back of Nicole's head behind her right ear was enough to totally incapacitate her. That way the killer could go right back to Ron and do whatever he pleased with him with no fear of injury to himself.
I'm saying that Ron and Nicole were attacked from behind on the steps with Nicole in front and Ron close behind her. And I'm saying that it was easy to do if you have drilled in the technique.
As far as Riske's testimony about Ron's borrowed car is concerned, you might want to check the transcripts again. Riske didn't say that he checked for cars on Dorothy. He only said that he didn't notice any parked cars in the area of Bundy and Dorothy. He gave no indication in the civil trial or the criminal trial that he was looking for any cars on Dorothy. What he said he was looking for were "footprints."
This is consistent with other eyewitness testimony about not noticing parked cars that were definitely there. Mandel and Aaronson said that they didn't notice any parked cars on their walk from Mezzaluna to Aaronson's apartment although the Mezzaluna patrons pared their cars on the street. O.J. said that he didn't notice Kato's Nissan. Kato said that he didn't notice any vehicles on Ashford or Bundy when he went to McDonald's with O.J. and Park said that he didn't notice the Bronco on Bundy at any time.
Parked cars are something that people simply don't pay attention to unless they have a specific reason. For all Riske knew Ron could have walked to Nicole's condo or been dropped off there by a friend.
With respect to what Vannatter and Lange said in Evidence Dismissed about Andrea Scott's car (the one Ron borrowed). I didn't read it the way you did. I got the impression that they just didn't give it that high of a priority.
I think that the rest of your post brings up issues that should be (should have been) addressed. I would love to know the answers. --Jasper
