It was an odd situation where he gave a blood sample, fingerprints, exam of his hand and cut but they didn't follow on thru with a check for bruises, check for blood under fingernails, or for blood in the hair?
they would have seen bruises on the visible parts of his body. There would have been no point in the cops looking for blood under his nails or hair because OJ had had ample time to wash up.

It's not hard to get blood out of anything. Soap and COLD water will do the trick. However, if you use hot water on bloodstained cloth, you will 'set' the stain instead of getting rid of it.
