Jasper, I don't think there will be and what Miss Marple added about the "going over the wall" and "talking up OJ's guilt" at Bundy is another thing I have thought of as well after my post.
If he thinks that he is "onto something" or has unique knowledge or in this case a need to press the OJ is guilty theme---he gets into the "on fast forward" mode. He exaggerates the smallest of issues.
Another reason that he "should" have gone after the info given to him by Lopez but his reaction in fact was to hide it and ignore it.
I wish more had seen the 48 Hours to SEE for themselves the Sheer Arrogance and how "exercised" he got when the cops weren't paying attention to what he was saying on his radio show with Fitzsimmons.
Another thing that happened on the show I forgot to report. He went on and on about the guy being stopped in the prostitute area because he was driving a white Corvette. The cop put down that it was a white Camero on the report (so that anybody looking at the report wouldn't see that it was a white Corvette). He goes on to say that if it were him he'd have hauled the guy and car in for questioning (he broke no traffic laws--he was stopped because he had a white Corvette) and searched the car. They went back to the head cop of the task force and he said words to the effect that Perhaps that is what the LAPD does, but in Spokane you had to have probable cause and a search warrant and that they still went by the US Constitution. He was referring to that case but it had shades of OJS case to me. I thought of it as a backhanded slap about the OJ case as well. Esp. since he said LAPD instead of what Fuhrman might do down in LA.
I do agree it was a STUPID mistake on the cop's part since the REASON he was stopped was that he was driving a white Corvette so why would you put Chevy Camero (actually CAM) on the report?
And I can't stress how many times Fuhrman's speech was peppered with I, I, I, I, I, and I.
