She might have done that for those reasons (in case there was an accident later with someone else) BUT if as Wagner says, it was some kind of hobby, it sounds to me like she was always on the make for another lawsuit.
I, too, have noted the time of noises that sound like gunshots. That is prudent thing to do. Note the time.
It is a little different with a "almost" wreck.
