It is easy to say what we would have done under the circustances but we were not there and we are not Jill. The next day when Marcia confronted Jill about the Hard Copy interview, Jill was focused on that not the time of her encounter.
I am not sure why Marcia would not want Jill to mention the time difference on her car clock. It seems it would have made more sense for her to have had the time established as earlier. Perhapa in a case where a clock is off, someone has to vertify that and the DA's office had not done that prior to Jill's testimony.
You may not believe Jill, but Jill did not lie under testimony. She gave the times it said on her car clock. She was not asked about the clock being off, even though Marcia had been told it was. And she was not asked on the stand if she had told anyone, other than her mother, about the incident. When confronted about the Hard Copy inteview, she admitted to having done the interview. I think there were a lot of witnesses who did not tell all they knew but they were never asked the right questions.
