Pizzas come pre-sliced. There is no reason for her to have ordered one that night and no evidence that she did. She just came from having dinner and there was no reason for her to have ordered a meal for a guy who worked at a restaurant.
The butcher knife on the counter fits nothing but Fuhrman's theory of Nicole getting it to protect herself. But there are BIG problems with that story, too, not the least of which is the fact that she didn't take it outside. All it does in fact is to allow him to tell that story.
Did you notice that the blade was pointing to the edge? Nobody lays a knife down like that, especially with young children in the house. On the other hand, you see lots of women in the movies holding a knife in grip that is suited for stabbing down. That's the only way it could have been held if it ended up on the counter with the blade pointed toward the edge…or if someone wanted it to look that way.
The knife was planted.
By the way, I saw the picture of the knife in Lange and Vannatter's book. --Jasper
