Jean, I know exactly what you mean. It is called the Failure chain. The harder one tries, they are filled with so much fear of failure thay say the wrong things, blurt out rude jokes without thinking, like when Perot said, "You People," Big Mistake. He was being hinself, but in politics one cannot do that. Gov Bush seems to not be controlling the campaign any longer because he is doing better, We will see with the debates. :):):)
