Keith, I disagree--as usual --with Jean.
As for the convict execution postponed--It was not a mistake. If that guy's DNA had tested that he was innocent--he would have been a hero. As it is now, he gave the DNA--and the Innocence Project and other groups a shot in the arm.
California just passed a bill to do the testing on DNA. Other states will follow.
The Illinois governor stopped ALL executions until further notice. He has not choice. 13 convicts on death row were proven innocent.
Bush is not trying to lose. What people need to realize is that you "can't win" with the press in general in the US if you are conservative. It is a lost cause and you might as well stop trying to appease them. If Bush has made a mistake at all, it is in trying to appease the press who is never going to be "for" him or Vote for him--no matter what he does. That is the mistake that McCain made.He actually thought that good press he was getting meant the press liked him and would vote for him. FAT CHANCE! charlie
