I don't think his motivation was as simple as just people liking him. I think a lot of that is just media hype. Trying to make him look like he had this ego problem. Some people just have carisma, and I have no idea what it is. I used to date a guy that had so much carisma that if I went to the ladies room, I had to beat the girls off him when I got back. And men liked him just about the same. Now he did not care a whit about whether he was liked or not. He was just intersted in people.
