When I talk about psycological games, I am talking about a psycological theory or methology of understanding behavior.
The theory is that we have certain things that we do that pass the time between birth and death. Ritual is a set form that one participates over and over. Such as going to the catholic church, most religious services and holidays are rituals. Past times are just that. A way to pass the time. Can be an upper or downer. If you sit in the park and meet some one you can pass the time talking about how cute the kids are or you can pass the time by dwelling on how bad the kids are or the parents are. This usually takes the form of "Aint it awful" Aint it awful how kids are not disciplained today. "Aint it awful" is one of the primary passtimes.
Now games are a bit more complicated.At a very young age, sometimes under two years, we choose a position for our selves. "I'm no good" Men are no good", It's not my fault, I am powerless,
Now these positions are life long and when you play games then it is to reinforce the position. But in a game you can switch rolls, which may look like you have inproved but is just a roll switch. For example in alcoholic, you can switch from alcoholic into a rescuer of alcoholics or persecutor of alcoholics.
Your pass times are usually indicitive of your games. and pass times are used to find someone to play with.
An easy game to analyse is "Rapo" Games are played to a certain degree, 1,2,3
In a 1 degree Rapo, a girl is sitting in a bar and smailes a seductive smaile to a guy. The guy comes over and says you look hot. She slaps his face and says "YOu are a dirty boy or old man or whatever" Her position is men are dirty. His position is "I always get put down or something like that" Now she tells all her friends that she slaped this dirty guy. 1st degree games are ones that the players will tell friends and aquantences.
Now lets say we go thru the same thing but she does not slap his face, they talk and he says come up to my room and see my etchings. They go to the room and he makes a pass, her blouse may get torn, She slaps his face, maybe kicks him and runs out of the room. Now this time she is not going to tell anyone but her best friend. This is second degree.
Now third degree goes along but when she says stop, he will not he ends up raping her. She runs out and calls the police. Now she has got him. She is going to punish the dirty guy. 3rd degree games end in the courtroom, jail, the newspapers or the morgue.
Now games are played on a subconcous level. This is the reason that a woman seems to have decided to get out of abusive marriage, but she goes back to play the game. Or gets into another abusive situation. This is her game and she has to keep playing. It keeps her in her position that she has had all her life.
Now the players come in 3 types. the victum, the persecutor and the rescuer. Now a victum can become the persecutor in some phase of the game and so forth.
Now there are also life positions that are I'm OK and YOu are OK and this position is out of games. Or at the most sticks to first degree games.
I'm OK if, You are OK if. The abused wife is only OK if she pleases him, But becomes Not OK very quickly.
You are OK, I am not Okay
You are not Ok, I am OKay
I am not Okay and you are not OKay. This is hopelessness.
The reason for all this is that I have just recognized that all those people were in a big game. Each had there place. And each moved the game forward. Now when Kris Jenner introduced Faye to Nicole it moved the game into a 3rd degree. Or when Fuhrman went to the baseball window shield incident it moved the game forward. Or you might say that he found the other players for his game.
Now OJ was the central player. And I am hoping to analyse his position, don't know if I can. But it gives another way to look at the case. Now movies often are just a form of a game. So no wonder they are a blueprint. Story plots are the game form. And the actors take a position.
Cops and robbers is a game. The robber is saying "Catch me if you can" and the Police say "I'm going to catch you and see that you are punished"
