As soon as I saw the spotted necktie on a cop in Fuhrman’s Murder in Greenwich movie (Det. Steve Carol interviewing Dorothy Moxley) I knew that I would be seeing many symbolic references to the victim, the real killer and “The French Connection.”
See http://www.smartfellowspress.com/smokinggun/smokinggun2/101.html , go to the bottom of the page and check out the second paragraph from the bottom with the prostitute and the cop (implied semen stains on cop’s tie – white spots). Note that Steve Carol and Charlie Stewart have the same initials in reverse order. Also see http://www.smartfellowspress.com/smokinggun/Ballgame-1html.htm
The special Smoking Gun chapter on Murder in Greenwich will have links in the text that will take you to the appropriate pictures or text in The Smoking Gun and the Smoking Gun 2. The difficulty lies in the fact that there are so many of them and they branch off in so many directions. That’s why I had such a hard time stringing together all of the appropriate links in the original Smoking Gun. The only way I can do it in the special chapter is to make my links to a page, which in turn, will have all of the appropriate links in the books. The new information will be woven into the new chapter.
In Fuhrman’s movie, Steve Carol’s tie is very unusual. Only the knot is specked with white dots. The rest of it is striped. Most of Fuhrman’s (Chris Maloni’s) ties, on the other hand, have solid red or blue backgrounds with white spots all over them. As Miss Marple discovered in her independent investigations, Fuhrman seldom does anything for one reason. It was therefore a sure bet that his spotted ties in the movie had more than one symbolic meaning.
The second meaning for the spotted ties can easily be seen in movies related to Fuhrman by virtue of the fact that they are almost exclusively seen on very important people; lead characters, Mafia dons, university presidents, political assassins and high-powered politicians. But I found that it had another extremely important symbolic meaning when I was looking for something associated with George Washington, who’s name seems to have been forced into Fuhrman’s movie for no good reason.
The movie was saturated with links to The Manchurian Candidate, Angel Heart, Jack the Ripper and several movies featuring an inverted pentagram. According to the logic of my search, The Manchurian Candidate should have had an inverted pentagram as well. I watched it again and there it was – the brainwashed assassin’s Medal of Honor is an inverted pentagram. Moreover, the ribbon that it hangs by when worn around the neck has a blue background and thirteen white stars. The President of the Untied State awards that medal.
In the Manchurian Candidate, the President who would have awarded the assassin his medal was Harry S. Truman. Truman was a Mason. Thirteen other Presidents were also Masons http://home.att.net/~presidents/president.htm . Lincoln was stopped from taking his Masonic vows only by an assassin’s bullet.
In search of a stronger link to the inverted pentagon and Fuhrman’s neckties, I came across the movie The First Power where a detective was trying to find a pattern in the location of victims left by a serial killer. The killer carved a Pentagon into the victims’ bodies. All the detective had to work with were dots on a map until he got a phone call from a psychic telling him where the killer was going to strike next. He put the dot on the map and suddenly all the dots made sense. By adding another theoretical dot and drawing straight lines between them, he came up with an inverted pentagram. I did the same thing with Fuhrman’s necktie and got the same result.
The trouble with the Masonic connection was that it wasn’t in the symbol itself (a compass sitting atop a miter). I knew, however, from my experience with Masons that there were different chapters of the organization with different symbols, at least two of which included a five-pointed star. In the O.J. case that would have been enough because O.J. was dyslexic. In the Martha Moxley case only an inverted five-point star would do.
I searched the web and found it on my first try. It’s called the Eastern Star. There is an Eastern Star lodge in Idaho (Fuhrman) and Grand Chapters in California (Fuhrman/Moxleys), Michigan (Dorothy Moxley/Detroit police) and Connecticut.
Eastern Star members are not strictly Masons (an fraternal organization) because it accepts men and women but only blood relatives of Master Masons are eligible for membership. The Grand Chapter in Connecticut, number 32 (O.J.'s number, is named after Martha Washington. –Jasper
