They knew where OJ Simpson was. They knew when he left his home and they knew when he arrived at LAX. Vanatter's own testimony proves they knew this but by that time, no one was really listening to his words. First off, Sydney heard her mother crying, she told them where her father was, in Shapiro's book, he says that at about 2:30 a.m., Phillips and MF called the police station and asked the cops watching them where he father was. Please remember, in the beginning of the media circus, the LAPD and the DA's floated their theory that OJ's alibi was his trip to Chicago. Please note that not one of the detectives who saw that glove ever questioned what time it got back there or the fact that no other blood was around it. From what Kato has testified and from his book, I do feel that Vanatter did check out that area and no one was more shocked than he was when MF showed him the glove. He knew it wasn't there. He knew MF put it there.
