I believe there were issues with the dress because it was hung up to dry. Also, in Vincent Buglosi's book, he also says that there was unidentified DNA on Nicole's thigh. I find it odd that every single piece of evidence that would point with the actual killer was either lost, not tested or never explained. IMO.
