Yesterday, March 14 (pi Day) I saw two things that were “coincidentally” appropriate for today, March 15, the ides of March. .............. The first one was on CNN’s Larry King, Live with Robin Givens and Denise Brown commenting on spouse abuse. The substitute host showed the Polaroid photo of Nicole’s “battered face” that Denise claimed she took on New Years Day, 1989 http://smartfellowspress.com/smokinggun/Great.html (search “father”). The subtitle called it a “prosecution exhibit,” which of course, it was not since the film was dated 1979 and Judge Ito rejected it pointing out that the film had a shelf life of one year. The show was repeated after midnight, putting it squarely on the ides of March. ............... The second thing appropriate for March 15 appeared on this board a few minutes after midnight. It was a spam message interestingly titled Best Reviews. It appears to me that it shows up as a pi Day (March 14) posting at 11:56:57 PM only because the poster did not take into account the fact that our posting clock is about 13 minutes slow. ............... Somehow I get the feeling that CNN, Fox or truTV would have served up a review of O.J. –the-killer on pi day and this day, the ides of March no matter what. –Jasper
