Bobsnhawaii— I don’t know. The way Bill Wasz talked to me about the middle man, I got the impression that it was a name he knew I’d be familiar with. If it was someone whose name wasn’t in our mutual pool of discussion I would have expected him to say something like: a friend of mine – or – this guy I know. He said nothing close to that. He said, “I’ll tell you his name when we’re alone in Detroit.” He did say “HIS name” and he stressed, “alone.” It made sense for him to say that because of the beeps and clicks we frequently heard on the phone when we talked. Someone was making a point of letting us know our phone conversations were being monitored. ………………….. John Dunton’s name would surprise me. http://www.wnd.com/1998/12/3498/ ………………………………………. According to David M. Bresnahan in a 1998 Word Net Daily series on Bill Wasz…. “Shortly after the murder of Nicole, a witness claimed a private investigator and two other men were involved in the murder. John Dunton was brought before a grand jury and refused to talk. He said his life was in danger from the police if he told what he known. He was put in jail on contempt charges, and never did tell what he knew. ……………………………………… “Immediately after Dunton made his claims, Pellicano called a press conference to deny that he had any involvement in the murder. Pellicano was already a well-known private investigator because of his work with entertainer Michael Jackson. ……………………………………”Dunton claimed that Pellicano was hired to do surveillance of Nicole Brown Simpson, something he also denied.” …………………………………….. In this piece, Wasz is painting Pellicano as a bad guy. We’re supposed to figure that Dunton was working at Pellicano’s direction when he got busted on another charge and that Pellicano was the unnamed P.I. somehow involved with two other men in the murder of Nicole Simpson. My problem with Dunton as Wasz’s middleman is that naming him in March of 2005 draws a line straight to Pellicano, who was now either Wasz’s friend or someone Wasz wanted Mario to believe was a friend of his. Wasz urged Mario to write to Pellicano in prison, saying something to the effect that Pellicano would be a good friend. ………………………………….. The thing is, only someone Bill Wasz’s trusted to tell the truth about who was paying him to follow Nicole in January 1994 could have been his middle man as Rocky Bateman was Mario’s middleman. I don’t even know if Wasz and Dunton knew each other. But now that I know Wasz and Rocky know each other I have the structure, at least, of how it could have worked – of how Wasz could have believed he was hired by Kardashian. ………………….Mario was convinced at the time that Rocky did personal favors for O.J. He said that he was in the limo with Rocky when O.J. called him (or he called O.J. – I don’t recall which) and Rocky said that O.J. was looking for someone reliable to follow Nicole. I asked Mario if he heard O.J.’s voice during that call. He paused for a long time and said, “No.” –Jasper
