In Vannatter's book he states that there are 5 keys on the ring though against everything I have ever known to be true about evidence--they just list key ring rather than how many keys. Freddy ID's all 5 keys in his depo months and months after the criminal trial. And this is from a photo and the borrowed car keys are not part of the list.
The keys to the borrowed car are returned--which implies on its face that they weren't in the crime scene or they couldn't have been returned like that.
And there is the ankh that Freddy was given back--also implying it wasn't in the crime scene or booked as evidence as well. And he is told that it was "ripped from Ron's neck and thrown down". No ankh appeared as part of the evidence list.
Yep, there is a big fat and UGLY elephant sitting in the living room.
