I have been thinking about this statement attributed to OJ. The prosecution viewed it as OJ trying to set up an alibi. I have started to think about it in a different light and believe OJ could have cleared it up a long time ago. Maybe he has and I missed it.
Whatif when OJ said this to Kato, he was referring to when he went into the house after putting his bags outside the door. This would be the time that Park saw him enter the house. From the layout of the property at Rockingham, Kato could have seen OJ go into the house from where he stopped to see Park in the limo. Park says in the Grand Jury transcripts "I saw two people". First he sees Kato and then just seconds later sees OJ. It is hard to believe that Kato did not see OJ also as well as hear his footsteps.
OJ is not the clearest person in expressing himself. Could he have been talking about Kato seeing him go into the house and figured that Kato would have known he had not left the property?
Just some random thoughts here.
