The killings must have occurred sometime between 10:28 (when Nicole got off the phone with her mother) and the time Schwab found the Akita with he bloody paws. So, we know that we have a "window of opportunity that opens at 10:28 and closes sometime before 11:00.
Time is not a variable. As Kari once said, it doesn't move. Therefore, we cannot move time around to fit the testimony or any plausible scenario we are especially attached to that fits MOST of the hard evidence. We have to see what movement there is in the testimony and adjust or scenarios to fit THE timeline. There can be only one.
The timeline was the first thing I figured out before I started work on Iago. If you don't have that, you don't have anything. That's why I was so miffed at Wagner's long delay in realizing that the Heidstra timeline had to be pretty damn close to the mark.
When I finished sorting through all of the conflicting and reinforcing testimony and hard evidence I came up with 10:34 as the start time and 10:47 as the time Heidstra saw the mystery SUV. And yes, I'm convinced that the barking Akita marked the beginning of the attack and the SUV that Heidstra saw the vehicle that the killer drove too and from Bundy. If the objective was to frame O.J. the killer had to drive a vehicle similar to O.J.'s Bronco in case he was see coming or going.
You can therefore safely discard Pablo Fenjves' and Eva Stein's 10:15 start time of the wailing (Fenjves) or barking (Stein). In fact, their testimony about how they arrived at that time should be enough to tell us that they just plane got it wrong.
And look at the wide window that Karpf leaves open. It's wide enough to fit a lot of scenarios into. But it just happens to fit the only one that works with all of the hard evidence and five other independent witnesses to the same timeline - plus or minus no more than a minute at the start and three minutes on the end. It's that's what I believe we're down to right now and I think we're closing in on it. -- Jasper
