The happenings at Bundy and Rockingham during this time period have been discussed over and over again since the murder of Ron and Nicole on that date. Despite all the discussions, opinions and different interpretations of the evidence, AT LEAST ONE basic question remains, specifically the time that the murders could've occurred.
1. If the Akita was said to have been heard barking and "wailing" just after 10:15-10:20 pm;
2. If Nicole was on the phone with her mother between 10:17 pm and 10:28 pm;
3. If the couple passing Nicole's between 10:28 and 10:35 pm but didn't hear or see anything--including the Akita;
4. If Heidstra heard the "Hey, Hey, Hey", men arguing and then a gate slam at about 10:35 pm or just after that;
5. If Nicole's neighbor, just home from the airport went out to check his mail and was confronted by the AKita at between 10:39 - 10:49 pm;
AND
6. If another neighborhood resident found the Akita on the street and noticed blood on it paws between 10:55 and 11:05 pm;
WHEN DID THE KILLINGS OCCUR?
