Jasper, I wasn't the one who said specifically that Stein and Karpf were having trouble--I think that was Rovann. However, I did allude to it and agree with it.
Either that--or there is something about that night after he got home that they are hiding.
I have thought about it too that she could have looked down the steps and saw him.
But I still believe it strange that he went to go check the mail on a Sunday night. Did she just get her mail and leave his as a rule? What was the deal?
What is odder still is that they are both up and when the cops arrive next door, they don't have a conversation. Or did they?
The question asked was did they discuss his seeing the dog that night not if they talked any at all about what was going on next door.
I find that very odd. When two people are in the house and a bunch of cop cars arrive next door, it is most odd that they don't ask each other "Wonder what's going on".
