By asking about his "going to the dark side" I was referring to the fact that he appeared to have been as you say, a very good attorney who somehow allowed himself to believe that his illegal activities were somehow "almost acceptable". I've read a lot about your dad and I'm glad you have been able to hold on to your positive memories of him. It could not always have been easy to be his son. Did your mom and/or Fred ever fear him at any point?
