O.J. Nut – How many facts in this case looked like a hypothetical “a stretch” (like O.J.’s innocence, for example) until somebody bothered to track down whether or not they were true? The essence of scientific investigation is to propose a hypothetical question (if) and follow up hypothetical answers by gathering the facts and testing them against each hypothesis. You can’t answer a question IF you don’t ask it – unless you stumble over by accident. –Jasper
