Jean, Solitairea1, Lollie – Solitairea1 hit the nail on the head with the NECESSITY of this board being OURS. You can’t have a free exchange of ideas in a forum run by a dictator. Yes, I initiated the board. I am legally and morally responsible for the content I allow to be posted (which is why some people do not start their own discussion boards – which anyone can do). ……………I have to make the decisions on close calls as to what is legally and morally permissible. But I can’t set up requirements that overtly or implicitly censor the content of anyone’s messages before they are allowed to post them (registration) without defeating our purpose. I can’t impose my ideas of what is or isn’t relevant or what can or can’t be discussed without jeopardizing OUR ability to uncover the truth. All I can do is post what I think is important and let everyone choose for themselves whether or not that’s the way they want to go. …………… Jean. Perhaps you have forgotten where the name Smartfellows comes from. If so, go to the home page. Click on the banner in the logo and the faces of the goofy kids holding the banner and it might start coming back to you. ……………The goal of the original Smart Fellows was to write, produce and star in our own stage plays – beginning with a “radio play” with closed curtains because we didn’t have the resources for physical props. The banner with “Smartfellows” misspelling that three of us are holding up proudly (smiling faces) represent our majority opinion. The unsmiling face tells you that he got outvoted. But the display itself tells you the TRUE story. You can see that the “smart kid” in the group who got outvoted on the banner was right. You can also see that the hands resting on his shoulders and mine are about including the “uncool” guy with the “cool” ones to make us a much stronger group. ………….. To be a Smartfellow on the Iago board you don’t have to buy into any theory. All anyone has to do is participate in trying to reach our mutual goal of uncovering the truth. The only test of whether you are a Smartfellow is whether you agree with this goal enough to consider yourself one and work WITH others who consider themselves Smartfellows by virtue of what they do as part of OUR working group to uncover and expose the truth. ……………Lollie, I think of everything on this site that all of us are a part of creating as our site including the text I write that comes from what I could distill from postings on the Iago Discussion Board. Although I make the drawings and animations, post most of the maps, screenshots and photos, I don’t do all of them or the research that goes into them. It wasn’t my idea to do all of them and few of them would exist without the insights and constructive criticism of others, including you, Solitairea1 and Jean. –Jasper
