Jean— There is no value in telling a lie you want someone to believe unless it is inherently believable. The truth doesn’t always sound reasonable but a well-crafted lie always does. ……….In A Problem of Evidence, Joseph Bosco went so far with evidence that O.J. did not commit the murders that it looked as though there was no way for him to construct a scenario in which he could have done it. The story about Ron just dropping off the glasses at Nicole’s on his way to the Baja Cantina was a detours in Bosco’s analysis of evidence leading away from O.J. as the killer that led right back. BECAUSE he believed it, he COULD NOT pursue evidence that the killer knew Ron was coming to the condo, when he would be there and the preparations he made with this knowledge at his disposal to kill Nicole AND Ron. And that line of thinking takes Faye Resnick out of the equation. ………. A lot of things bothered me about the Baja story beginning with the seemingly unrelated connections to the Mexican worry doll in Fuhrman’s Mothers poem photo and all the Mexican links to the image of O.J. as a spouse abuser. Nicole’s cousin Rolf and his wife Maria worked for Nicole and O.J. in the 1980s. Maria was Mexican. She was the housekeeper. A big part of Fuhrman’s rationale for going over the wall at Rockingham was concern that the housekeeper might be in danger. Maria was not O.J.’s housekeeper at that time but Nicole’s housekeeper Rosa Elvia Alonzo (Evidence Dismissed, page 218) is the one who counts IF the Baja Cantina was used as a code. ………All I have here is the Hispanic name constant but if the Baja Cantina in Marina (take out the “n” and you have Maria) Del Rey was a code, that might be all that’s necessary. When you are working out a code, an unlikely symbol that draws together different people and events in a rational way is a good indication that you’ve found one. ………Follow this thought from the Mexican worry doll, Nicole’s maid (related to the story of the missing keys – which included a key to Nicole’s Jeep) and the Baja Cantina story related to the glasses in the envelope and Andrea Scott’s car. You get a coherent story of a murder/frame-up plot involving O.J. Nicole, Ron, Fuhrman, Faye, Nicole’s kitchen (where her maid said her extra house key, car keys and gate keys were kept on a hook), Fuhrman’s Mothers Poem photo and “pizza menu” and an Italian Restaurant. Mezzaluna was an Italian Restaurant. Nicole drank wine there with her last meal. ……….The American Heritage Dictionary: Second College Edition: cantina (kan-te’ na) n. Southwestern U.S. An establishment that serves liquor; a bar or saloon. [Sp., canteen, Itl., wine cellar < canto, corner] Ron’s body was found against the tree in the corner of Nicole’s courtyard with the envelope containing the glasses near his left boot. ……….The Baja Peninsula (Fuhrman played football at Peninsula High in Washington State) is in the MEXICAN state of California. Cabo San Lucas is on the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula. In Faye Resnick’s “Private Diary” book, which the prosecution used to outline there case against O.J., she shows 21 photos. 11 of them were taken in Cabo. These are not reasons to conclude anything. They are reasons to dig deeper. –Jasper
