Lollie, …That’s still a minimum of six moths that Fuhrman would have attended the school, which means he could not have been on active duty in the Marine Corps. He would have been in the Ready Reserves (one weekend of “drills” every month and two weeks of active duty per year) or the Standby Reserves (no drills and no active duty – your name just goes on a list for possible call-up in a national emergency). –Jasper.
