Solitairea1, …I cannot see Fred drawing a link between Fuhrman and Ron by way of their mutual friendship with Lauren Cohen unless he didn’t know about her friendship with Fuhrman. If Fuhrman had not given such a boost to the prosecution by lying on the witness stand and then getting caught in the lie, I think he would have been in the acknowledgments, too. After all, he did find the most damaging evidence against O.J. But he did get busted. And in the opinion of many, he did cause the prosecution to lose the criminal case. Consequentially, he would have seen any link between Fuhrman and Lauren Cohen as well as Phillips and Fuhrman as one link too many. It IS one link too many. …………. If Fuhrman’s book came out long enough before Fred finished his book for him to know about the Mothers poem photo it gives what he said about Lauren Cohen a more disturbing spin. It would suggest that he probably knew about her friendship with Fuhrman. She did put her name on the internet as the author of the poem in Fuhrman’s book. So what would keep her from telling the Goldman’s about it long before the criminal trial began, before the McKinny tapes came out and before the book was published? It looks like she wrote it as the mother of two young children, a boy named Adam and a girl named Ali who could see herself in Nicole’s place. The Goldmans would have known it was her even if she hadn’t posted it on the internet. …………….. The “eternally connected” line in Fred’s acknowledgements sounds too much like the “mother’s spirit reside in your heart “forever” line in the Mothers poem” to attribute entirely to coincidence. Maybe coincidence is all it was, but if Fred knew about the Mothers poem IN FUHRMAN’S BOOK, it seems far less likely. So, I think he knew about the Mother’s poem (the last line did not come from the Celtic/Irish proverb) but not that Fuhrman had anything to do with it. --Jasper
