I got side-tracked by a publication called the Threepenny Review published by Wendy Lesser. She also wrote a book called "Hiding in Plain Sight". One of the essays in the book is called "Mother Tongue" by the author who wrote the Joy Luck Club. Guess I went there because what we usually see is something connected to older history like the Threepenny Opera and then something connected to the time frame on 1989 to 1994. Hiding in Plain Sight came out in 1993. The Threepenny Review publishes a lot of poetry. I have been looking for a peom about mothers, holding hands before 1994. No luck yet... I am still absorbing all you put up. The connections are amazing.
