Thanks Jean for the update. Another strange development in the case indeed. An infection that bad must have been very painful, I'm thinking of a boil. I read somewhere Howard used to give her injections of some kind frequently (I thought it was human growth hormone). If I find it again I'll post it. Due to my suspicious nature I thought of someone purposely contaminating the injectible material with a contaminant known to cause sepsis. ( not accusing Howard) I'm thinking back on one of my coworkers (female) years ago she came to work, she was talking just nuts, speech slurred and her eyes were rolling , she really looked just out of it. She squatted down on the floor and couldn't get up. The in-house nurse determined she had a very high fever and her blood pressure was very, very low, sent her to the hospital and that's what she had, sepsis brought on by pelvic inflammatory disease. Sepsis is nothing to fool around with. The woman I witnessed in this state was not alert enough to make any decisions, and the nurse just sent her. She was too sick to argue even if she wanted to. This would explain her 105 degree fever. If they had just called the ambulance the EMT's would have been able to handle it. It's so sad she wasn't taken care of. I don't know if it's possible to be addicted to chloral hydrate. For her to have a toxic level she must have been taking it in the day, since she died around 3pm. Buster
