Solitairea1 …Hiding things in plain sight is a Fuhrman trait. He did this with Brand Roberts in the criminal trial simply by saying that Roberts was his “regular” partner, thus falsely implying that he was, as he said originally, partnered with Phillips on the 13th. He did it with his Bundy notes and he did it repeatedly throughout his Murder in Brentwood book. ……….None of this Dearborn development stuff makes sense with Denise. All of it makes sense with Fuhrman. There might also be a Pomona, CA connection to Denise and Fuhrman with the La Quinta Hotel that opened in Pomona in 1999. ………. If I’m right, we’re looking at Fuhrman the businessman seeing a solid real estate investment in an area he studied firsthand and using intermediaries to hide his involvement in the venture. The La Quinta Hotel in Pomona needs little explanation. It’s a direct link to his credit card alibi for the night of the murders. We know enough about Fuhrman’s interests in the area to have no doubt that he was there. The only question is when. I believe that the same is true of the piano bar on Michigan Avenue in Dearborn. Both areas have an international airport, a horseracing track and gambling casinos nearby. “The usual suspects” need not be involved. ………I got my first hint of a Detroit connection (Dearborn is a suburb of Detroit) to Fuhrman’s many pizzas references when I started the Smoking Gun 2 with Names to Know http://www.smartfellowspress.com/smokinggun/smokinggun2/Names.html (search [CTRL + f] “Buddy’s”). Fuhrman is a pizza coinsure and Buddy’s, a sports bar and restaurant, has the best pizza in the Detroit Metro Area, hands down. If you watched a baseball or basketball game here in the last twenty years you saw an ad for Buddy’s http://detroit.about.com/od/restaurants/fr/buddyspizza.htm If you are a pizza coinsure and a baseball and basketball fan who was near a Buddy’s Restaurant, you stopped in to see whether it was all that it is cracked up to be. It is. ……….When I was doing the first chapter of The Smoking Gun 2, Buddy’s Pizza and the boxer named Buddy in Police Squad was all I had to go on to link Fuhrman to the inordinate number of reference I saw to Detroit in the Fuhrman collection. A Simple Act of Murder changed everything. Fuhrman DID go to Greenfield Village. He had to go there to study the Lincoln that Kennedy was shot in. Buddy’s Pizza on Michigan Avenue in Dearborn is within a stone’s throw of “Denise’s” piano bar. –Jasper
