Lollie, …Brown can’t be the middle name her parents gave her – or can it? I know that it’s her maiden name – her last name before she got married but, come to think of it, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is the only German I can think of with a middle name. Is Amadeus a last name? ……….. Ulysses Simpson Grant doesn’t count because his forbearers were Americans going all the way back to the 1600s when the first Grant immigrated from England. His birth name was Hyrum Ulysses Grant but he hated Hyrum so much that dropped it and inserted his mother’s last name into his as his middle name. …………Are we looking at a German thing, here with Nicole? Could Brown really be middle name she was given at birth? I bet Mark Fuhrman would know. And now that I think of it, was James the name he was given at birth or did he choose it as an adult the way Grant chose his? If he did give himself a middle name (I would if my only initials were MF) when and why did he choose James? –Jasper
