Being drug could cause all the abrasions, depending on what they meant by hit. Hands under the arms, and burns on hips by rug. In the hospital they might have moved him to do CPR, but they would know this. You need someone either on a hard bed or on the floor to do it right. But they might also be different if heart had stopped as opposed to beating. But they would know this. Question? was he someplace else in room and roughtly moved for some reason. Walking with crutches would cause abrasions under the arm, but they would know that.
