Out in the air and fresh bodies, a shower would take any smell away. One thing though is if your hands get covered in blood, it will not come off the cuticals. Some times being in the morgue on a bad case you do end up with smelling that takes several showers and hair washing to get rid of. A killer is not likely to get sick. But others might.
