Stillatlarge and Jean, ….I never assumed that Larry Jerkhead was a good guy. The night before the news broke of Anna Nicole’s death, I saw him on Entertainment Tonight making his case that he was the father of her baby girl. I call him “Jerkhead” because I wasn’t paying much attention to the story (I was looking for a videocassette to watch a movie) and I didn’t recall his name, only that he impressed me as being a jerk. ……….At that time, he and Anna Nicole were in a bitter dispute over his public claim of having a sexual relationship with her that resulted in Dannielynn’s birth. It was ANNA who was blocking the DNA testing, not Stern. Furthermore, she was disputing that she had the kind of relationship with him that he claimed they had. He called her a liar and produced photos that showed them kissing and embracing as you would expect to see with lovers (or late night talk show guests). The trouble with everything he was saying and showing was that it violated a non-disclosure agreement that he sighted. When his interviewer showed him a copy of the agreement, he looked nonplussed for a moment, then stumbled and fumbled his way to saying that his only interest was being united with his baby. ……….What I got out of all this was little more than the FACT that Larry and Anna Nicole were having a long and ugly fight that Anna did not want to make public and Larry did. I wasn’t convinced that he cared as much about the DNA test as he did about the publicity he was getting from linking his name to hers at a time when she was terrible grief over the death of her son. Where was all of this concern about being the father of the child when Anna Nicole was eight or nine months pregnant and not a top item in the news? If he really wanted the DNA test, it seemed to me that he could have had it done easily before he went public when public disclosure was not an issue. His public paternity campaign was too closely linked in time to Daniel’s death to suit me. What he was doing looked like blackmail to me to force himself into Anna Nicole’s life through the baby. ………..That was my impression of things the night before Anna Nicole died. I wasn’t paying close enough attention to her story to even know who Howard K. Stern was, only that Anna Nicole had some guy’s name on her baby’s birth certificate that wasn’t Larry’s. ………..I think it’s highly unlikely that Stern is the baby’s biological father. But I do not think that Larry’s insistence on a DNA test makes him any more likely to be the father than anyone else. Whether he is or his isn’t could be irrelevant if the father was merely a sperm donor that Anna selected with the understanding that he would not be involved in her life or the child’s. If this were the case, Stern is not the bad guy in doing what he did and what he has been doing assume the role of Dannielynn’s father. He is doing what he and Anna Nicole wanted. I see nothing wrong with that. In fact, now that I’ve had a chance to see and hear Howard K. Stern without the filter of other people’s judgments, I see nothing wrong with him. …………The snake in the suit is looking increasingly like the man who coined the phrase, Mark Fuhrman. More about that later… –Jasper
