Buster, … I think you’ve solved it. ………. Rogers’ link to Nicole around the time Bill Wasz got arrested with those Nicole-O.J.-Karkdashian-Barbieri entries in his notebook never sat right with me. I do not discount coincidence as a legitimate explanation for two unrelated events occurring in a way that appears to be related. It happens. When it happens once in isolation it means nothing. When it dovetails into another coincidence and both events work together to produce a given result it becomes more likely that both events were planned to work together. When it happens three times you can bet the farm that you are looking at a coordinated plan. ………. Constance Dial’s presence on the Bundy murder scene has never made sense apart from her professional duties as a high ranking narcotics officer. The coordinated efforts of city, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies in O.J.’s prosecution never made sense outside of their mutual interests in narcotics trafficking surveillance, protecting intelligence sources and covering their own butts. Did all of these agencies use Glenn Rogers’ services as an informant knowing he was a serial killer? Did only some officials in some of those agencies work with him as an informant knowing he was a serial killer? Or did everybody drop the ball in checking him out and putting together evidence that would have told them he was a serial killer? …………. There was no good way any of this could shake out for the LAPD, the LADA, the California Department of Justice or the FBI. They could not so much as contemplate anyone other than O.J. as a murder suspect without having to explain what they knew about Rogers and when they knew it. If Fuhrman had anything to do with any network of informants that included Rogers, he had an iron-clad guarantee that key people in law enforcement agencies on every level would bend every effort to protect him just to protect themselves. Depending on what they knew about Rogers and when they knew it, some of those officials could have been charged with accessory to murder – and that’s just for starters. ……….. During the O.J. criminal trial, Johnnie Cochran mistakenly referred to Roberts as “Rogers” when he didn’t know that Fuhrman and Roberts were partners. I wish I could have seen the faces of Marcia Clark, Gil Garcetti, Peggy York, Constance Dial, Dan Lungen and the head of the FBI’s LA office when he said it. –Jasper
