Solitairea1, … You have to wonder what Mark Fuhrman said to persuade his mother not to write her book. She would have made a good hunk of change for herself with a professional ghostwriter. Furthermore it’s clear from the article that she wanted to do it to help her son. You have to figure that he did a good job of persuading her that the things that made it worth buying would damage him if enough people got to read it. ……….We’d probably know from her book something about Mark’s religious upbringing and the lessons from the Bible that he took the most interest in. We might have learned from her point of view what made him the son, the detective and the scapegoat that she thought he was. I’m sure that we would have learned the name of the military school he went to and how he came to be in that school. I would have loved to read her examples of what she thought would clear him of the charge of being a racist. ……… I’ll bet that the Devil was in the details of her cute little antidotes about little Mark’s religious training, the school subjects he excelled in, TV viewing habits and the games he liked to play. ……… Wouldn’t you like to know if he read Superman and Batman comics? Wouldn’t you like to know who his favorite actors and movies were? Wouldn’t you like to know if he tried his hand at writing and drawing his own comic books? Wouldn’t you like to know what his baseball card collection looked like and who his favorite baseball players were? Wouldn’t you like to know what position he played in baseball, what his number was and his biggest moments of triumph and defeat? How about birthdays, Christmas presents, Halloween costumes, playmates and girlfriend? What examples do you think she gave to show how clever and talented her son Mark was or what a help he was to her when her husband abandoned the family. What do you think she said about her ancestry or her husband’s? ……… I wonder what she said about Brad Roberts and their visit to Los Vegas in 1995 when they happened to find the body of a black man in a trunk in LA and traced his death to a house in Los Vegas. It’s inconceivable to me that Fuhrman would not have stopped by to see mom and bring his partner with him. …….. For Mark Fuhrman the misunderstood detective none of these item would hurt him. For Mark Fuhrman the killer, just a few of them presented to the wrong eyes could be a death sentence. –Jasper
