August 4, 1975 is a date significant to Fuhrman because that is when he joined the LAPD. I believe he retired 20 years later on August 4, 1995. There are some birthdays connected to this day that are of interest: Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon (AKA Elizabeth Angela Marguerite, Queen Elizabeth, Duchess of York)- 1900, Richard Belzer (1955), Billy Bob Thornton (1955), and Roger Clemens (1962). The only connected death I could find was Hans Christian Anderson in 1875. Significant events include: George Washington becoming a Master Mason (1753), Custer’s first clash with the Sioux (1873), Family of Lizzie Borden found murdered (1892), Greenwich Foot tunnel under the River Thames opens (1902), World War I- Germany invade Blgium (1914), Anne Frank and her family are discovered hiding (1944), Civil Rights Activists Michael Schwerner, Andrew Goodman and James Chaney found dead- movie Mississippi Burning based on this story (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095647/ New York Yankee Dave Winfield accidentally kills a seagull during warm-up (1983), FCC rescinds the Fairness Doctrine (1987), and Stacey Koon and Laurence Powell are sentenced for violating Rodney King’s civil rights (1993).
