Jean, …I suspect that it was an original thought with you now because I didn’t present myself convincingly when we discussed it many years ago. I don’t think anyone bought what I was saying about the glasses back then because there were so many differences about the real timeline. The logical implications of those differences ran in different directions. ………….If the killings occurred before the 10:30, the phone call to the Wilshire police station it can logically be explained as an attempt to discover whether the police knew about it by then. If they happened after 11:00, the call worked against a “rage killing” frame-up because the time separation between the call and the murders make it obvious that two murders were planned. Both of these are ultimately OJG –MFI arguments. …………The earlier timeline gives O.J. enough time to do it and the later time leaves him forever where he is without the records to prove it. Meanwhile, the evidence against Fuhrman (including his I.H. Scout) goes away because it exists only on a real timeline after 10:30 and before 11:00. If that timeline was manufactured to frame O.J. it was also manufactured to frame Fuhrman. This is what Ludwig was talking about when he said that if O.J. couldn’t have committed the murders on this timeline, neither could Fuhrman. The significance of the 10:30 call to Wilshire is much easier to see with a real killing time and a false one close enough together to sell the earlier one and to deprive O.J. of an obvious alibi. That’s why I saw it when I first read about it in Freed’s Killing Time. ………….Your question about whether Nicole or Ran said he was going to Nicole’s place to deliver the glasses is in Mezzalua Manager Karen Crawford’s testimony. The short answer is that it Ron said it. ………….In the preliminary hearing Crawford said that Nicole called Mezzalua and asked Ron to bring her the glasses. In the criminal trial it went like this with Marcia trying to lead her to say what she did in the earlier hearing: (transcript Feb 7, 1995) Q: DID SHE ASK YOU TO DO SOMETHING WITH RESPECT TO THOSE GLASSES? ……A: UMM, SHE TOLD ME -- WELL, CAN YOU REPEAT THAT? ……Q: YEAH. DID SHE ASK YOU TO DO SOMETHING WITH THOSE GLASSES? …….A: UMM, NO. SHE ASKED IF SHE COULD SPEAK TO RON, BUT SHE DIDN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO WITH THE GLASSES. …….. After Ron hung up Crawford said: “HE HUNG AROUND FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES AND THEN HE ASKED ME TO GIVE HIM THE GLASSES AND I DID.” ……….. Crawford never quoted or paraphrased anything Ron said to Nicole to suggest that either of them even mentioned the glasses. She didn’t hear what he said. –Jasper
