Solitairea1 ~ I just dug out my dusty old notes...lol... I remember I was po'd at the time my tape wasn't working because this guy was a treasure trove. From my notes taken at the time (admittedly sketchy)...Heiser's partner, Bob, was a bright French guy who travelled in the fast lane---he saw Faye at parties attended by socially prominent drugggies --this is in the 79/80 to 83 era, with Fadi (who is Lebanese the same as Charif Souki owner of Mezz--but don't know if that's relevant to anything). There was a drug bust and 'he' (not sure who I'm referring to but I think it was Fadi) confessed--he was more afraid of the Colombians than of the police and was worried about the $ lost by the drugs being seized. Clark left the country with him---fled to London and a sugar plantation. In the book Faye assumes this high and mighty attitude---she helped Clark by selling it to the tabloids. He's talking about Faye Barnett in '83 and the parties being in Presidio Heights. He said 1-2 wks before the killings he had lunch with Karen Crawford who was a friend of his. During that lunch DeBello --who he said was the overall mgr and a jerk--was shmoozing with Nic. Ron came up and argued with the manager about it and was told to get back to work. Then I have a bunch of his discussion of the MF tapes. Thenhe said after Halabi fled there was a killing/kidnapping and robbery. The alleged distributors were convicted. Said they'd been victimized for losses of $400,000 to cover the drug $ that had been lost with an insurance claim so they could recoup the $ and appease their suppliers. He said the people they were dealing with "don't forgive, they don't forget and they get someone close if you don't pay" He reminded Keane that Faye had told Reichert that she was TERRIFIED someone was after her~~~ That's all the notes I took, sorry! I tried to contact Stephen Heiser after his name went public in Schiller's book, but wasn't able to get ahold of him. His sister told me he didn't keep in close touch with his family at that time either. Would LOVE to hear what he has to say, wouldn't you???!!!! Stephen, if you're out there, WRITE A BOOK!!!! >;-D
