A similar case; misread evidence

Just wanted to make some general observations. After going through most of the recent posts that I missed day by day, I must give credit and praise where due. The exchange between Jasper and Prien regarding the autopsy report on Ron and Nicole is awesome! (Under the "He did it" thread.) I had the greatest respect for Dr. Henry Lee's expertise on blood evidence and/or spattering, etc. When he said, "Something wrong" in his garbled sybtax, it sealed forever in my thinking that the whole case was skewed to the prosecution's side; therefore, most if not all, of the testimony lacked credibility. I am speaking of the criminal trial. My next point is wondering if all the high profile cases are so poorly handled and if they are also subject to similar manipulation. Is anyone familiar with the Capt. Jeffery McDonald case of the early 70s? He was at first aquited and then at the insistance of McDonald's murdered wife's step father (her two young daughters were also butchered and the wife was again pregnant at the time) the case was reopened; he was found guilty in the second trial. He is still in jail in California and seeking a new trial on the basis of new evidence. I think he is guilty as sin. And perhaps justice was served in this one particular case. He claimed a group of drug-crazed hippies broke into his house on an army base in North Carolina and killed his family. He sustained only a couple minor wounds to his chest (self-inflicted, obviously) while the others were victims of multiple stab wounds that smacked of an enraged, knife wielding maniac. The second prosecution team concluded that it was McDonald who was zonked out on drugs. AS a doctor, he had access to a whole medicine cabinet. He was a health nut who took body enhancing meds. I suppose he found his family boring and burdensome. When he was reindicted, he was living high in CA with a medical practice and a life style in keeping with the California swingers....rot in jail, Jeffery!...how could the first tribunal or jury miss such obvious clues to his guilt?,,,,am I being too judgmental?....marilyn
